If you need to add a cushion to a non- cushion piece of furniture see below on how to measure a cushion.

Creating a Cushion Template (PLEASE NOTE - this is only for sets not shown)
Our skilled staff can create custom cushions of any shape and size. It is best to provide a template for any cushion that is not square or rectangular to ensure we make exactly the cushion to fit your furniture.  A template can be made from paper, cardboard or fabric but we recommend brown kraft paper such as butcher paper or brown paper bags.
The template must be the exact shape/size of the cushion that you need. It is important to remember that we will make the cushion using your template therefore it is important to make sure that your template is accurate.
Please mark your template  with your company name,  type of cushion (chair seat, chaise, etc), and any other details that you can provide such as thickness, style, fabric selection, where the zipper should be placed and any other options such as tie and break location.
Paper templates can folded or rolled and sent by mail or ground service.

HOW TO MAKE A PATTERN FROM YOUR EXISTING CUSHION:

Step 1: Lay a sheet of paper on the floor and place your cushion on the top of the paper.
Step 2: Trace the cushion and cut it to size.
Step 3: Place the template on your furniture to ensure that the pattern fits properly.
Step 3a: If it does not fit, make any adjustments to the template so that it becomes the proper size. You can cut the pattern or add an extra piece of paper or fabric. Make sure that if you are adding more material, that it is well secured before reshaping the pattern.
Step 4: Mark your pattern with your information and be sure to include the location of ties, zipper, breaks, and any other options.
TIPS:
Over time, cushions can flatten and lose their shape. Cushions should be symmetrical. To help create a symmetrical pattern, fold the pattern down the middle and check that the left and right side of the cushion are the same. If there is a difference in the sides, you should mark it. Check the pattern before you cut the excess as you do not want to trim too much off. It is common for cushions to have different widths at the front and back.  You may need to trace the pattern on another piece of material to get it to the proper dimensions. Please double check your pattern on your furniture.

HOW TO MAKE A PATTERN FROM YOUR FURNITURE (WITHOUT CUSHIONS):

Step 1: Place the paper or fabric on the seat.
Step 2: Press the paper so it is flat along the bottom of the seat.
Step 3: Draw around the outside edges of the seat showing so that it matches the edge of the furniture and cut. If you want the cushion to extend over the edge, draw where you would like the edge of the cushion to be.
Step 4: Place the cut out pattern on the seat and make sure the pattern fits properly.
Step 4a: If it does not fit, make any adjustments to the template so that it becomes the proper size. You can cut the pattern or add an extra piece of paper or fabric. Make sure that if you are adding more material, that it is well secured before reshaping the pattern.
Step 5: Mark your pattern with your information and be sure to include the location of ties, zipper, breaks, and any other options.
If the furniture requires a seat and back cushion, repeat steps 1 to 5 for the back cushion. Remember to subtract the thickness of the seat cushion from the back cushion so that the back cushion sits at the proper height.
We require one pattern for each cushion shape. Example: Some deep seating groups have the same size cushions for the seat or back. If you have a sofa with 3 seat cushions, they could all be the same size.
